Christie Administration Continues “Season Of Service” Volunteerism

Trenton, NJ – Christie Administration officials are continuing their Season of Service efforts volunteering their time and assistance to those in need.

Over the past two weeks, Cabinet members have contributed their time by serving Thanksgiving meals at Oasis in Paterson; St. Vincent De Paul Society in Bridgeton; The Rescue Mission in Trenton; and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ocean City in addition to participating in the Railmen For Children Holiday Train Ride from Hoboken.

Since 2011, Cabinet officials have participated in approximately 350 service opportunities throughout the state – volunteering at food banks, soup kitchens and shelters serving meals, packing boxes or delivering meals. They have also helped in recovery and rebuilding after Sandy as well as focusing on drug abuse and addiction and the work being done to overcome the disease.
