CITY OF NEWARK TO HOLD MAYORAL AND CITY COUNCIL

ELECTION ON TUESDAY, MAY 8, 2018

Newark, NJ-May 7, 2018-The largest city and one of the most diverse in the state of New Jersey is holding its Election for Mayor and City Council tomorrow, Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  Mayor Ras J. Baraka is seeking re-election for a second term.

 

Team Baraka, Mayor Baraka’s slate of City Council Candidates includes incumbent Councilmembers At-Large: Mildred C. Crump, Luis A. Quintana, Carlos M. Gonzalez and Eddie Osborne. His slate of incumbent City Council Ward candidates includes: John Sharpe James (South), Anibal Ramos, Jr. (North), Joseph A. McCallum (West), Augusto Amador (East) and first-time Council candidate LaMonica McIver (Central.)

Polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents can find their polling location at nj.gov/state/elections.
