Commission Launches Virtual One-Stop Information Sessions
TRENTON – In order to promote careers in State and local government, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission (CSC) will host virtual information sessions with the Department of Labor’s One-Stop Career Centers throughout the State. New Jersey residents are encouraged to attend these free presentations, which will be held on various dates. Each presentation will include an hour-long overview on how to apply for State and local jobs and resource materials will be provided. Representatives will also be present to answer questions pertaining to the application process.
Information sessions are scheduled for the following dates:
• Monday, October 4, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
• Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Monday, October 18, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
• Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
“As we coordinate these information sessions with county One-Stop Career Centers, our team has offered presentations to hundreds of interested candidates,” said Deirdré L. Webster Cobb, Esq., Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. “Presenting these information sessions allows us to provide resources and services to highlight that the State of New Jersey is the employer of choice.”
“Our virtual information sessions are a way for us to inform people about the great opportunities that are available on the state, county and local levels,” said Dr. Charlie Williams, Executive Director of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Programs. “These information sessions allow us to answer questions or concerns job seekers may have about how to apply for state government positions.”
