(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Jeff Van Drew (NJ02) released the following statement today on the terror attacks at the mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand:

“My heart is with the people of New Zealand and the victims and their families on this terrible day. We must seek to assist them in any way we can. There is too much hate in the world; too much hurt. We feel on social media that we can speak to each other in a certain way. In politics we treat each other as enemies instead of collaborators. This hate has extended to these horrible and hateful acts. We are all human beings. We all have the same blood in our veins. We need to love each other a little more.”
