Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski First to Join Mayor Davis’ Ticket

BAYONNE, NJ — Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski is the first announced member of Mayor Jimmy Davis’ Council team in next year’s municipal election. Running for re-election to an At-Large Council seat, Council President Ashe-Nadrowski has been an instrumental partner to Mayor Davis’ administration, spearheading economic redevelopment initiatives that are attracting millions in new investments in Bayonne and setting the city on the path to a brighter future. She is a lifelong Bayonne resident and is the first female Council President in Bayonne’s history.

“Bayonne’s renaissance would not be possible without the tremendous work Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski has done in the last three years supporting an agenda of responsible economic development that is stabilizing taxes and revitalizing our city,” said Mayor Davis. “I’m honored that Sharon will once again stand with me in this campaign and I am eager to continue working with her to move Bayonne forward.”

Council President Ashe-Nadrowski is an alumnus of St. Andrew’s Grammar School, Bayonne High School and New Jersey City University, where she obtained a degree in computer science. She has been employed in the private sector as a Microsoft Database Engineer for over 20 years and is a former vice president and current member of the Irish American League, an active member of both the Bayonne Shamrock Society and the Bayonne St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, and serves as the volunteer athletic director for All Saints Catholic Academy.

“Mayor Jimmy Davis has done more to turn our city around and make it a place where our families can be proud to call home than anyone in recent history,” said Council President Ashe-Nadrowski. “We can’t allow the progress our city is making to be stopped and that’s why it’s so important for all Bayonne residents to come together and re-elect Mayor Davis and his team in May.”

Mayor Davis kicked off his re-election campaign last month in front of a packed room with hundreds of supporters as well as Democratic leaders from throughout Hudson County. He will be announcing additional members of his campaign team and council slate in the coming weeks.
