EVESHAM DEMOCRATS CONGRATULATE MAYOR & COUNCIL ON FIRST BUDGET

Democratic-led Council passes first municipal budget with no property tax increases.

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, July 19, 2019 – On Tuesday, July 16th, Evesham Township’s
Democratic Mayor and Council members passed their first annual municipal budget.
It is a healthy and secure budget focused on fiscal stability, priorities for all residents, and
no tax increases.

The Evesham Township Democratic Committee heartily congratulates Mayor Veasy, Deputy
Mayor Cooper, and Councilwoman Hansen for all of the hard work and effort that they put into
the budget process. They dedicated an immense amount of their time and energy into listening
to residents, businesses, and township employees & professionals to put the needs of the
community as a whole in to their first budget.

“Mayor Veasy, Deputy Mayor Cooper and Councilwoman Hansen are delivering on the
promises they made during their campaign. We are proud to have seen first hand how they
have engaged residents from every neighborhood and listened to their concerns. By passing a
fiscally responsible budget with no tax increase they have shown they are thoughtful leaders
who are prepared to make tough and good decisions that will lead our town into the future,”
said Evesham Township Democratic Committee Chair Philip Warren.

Added Democratic Vice Chair Christie DeCarolis: “I am so proud to see a majority-women led
Council living up to their promises. They have shown that women are leading the way to find
solutions to problems rather than playing political games. This budget is proof that when
women lead, our community benefits. I am grateful for their leadership and proud to be a part
of this Democratic Party.”
