Freiman Takes Oath of Office as 16Th Legislative Representative

(TRENTON) – Hillsborough resident and former Prudential Financial Executive Roy Freiman was sworn-in Tuesday as the newest member of the General Assembly’s 16th legislative district.

Freiman took his oath of office during the Assembly’s reorganization meeting at the War Memorial in Trenton. He joins Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker in representing District 16.

“I am excited to get to work on behalf of the people of the 16th legislative district and the state,” said Freiman, who retired from Prudential to pursue a seat in the Assembly.  “I ran because I saw a need for more strategic decision-making and collaborative leadership. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make positive change for New Jerseyans.”

As Vice President of Strategy and Analytics for Prudential, Freiman led a team that managed data analytics, developed strategic plans, and created innovative solutions to generate new business.

Freiman, who lives in Hillsborough with his wife Victoria and served on the Hillsborough Sustainable Steering Committee, said he will use his business and analytics skills in the Assembly to make sure the best decisions are being made to help New Jersey move in a more positive direction.

Freiman said he will focus on common-sense ways to hold the line on property taxes, support policies that promote lasting economic development and work to create jobs by making sure that entrepreneurs and businesses have the support and resources needed to thrive.

District 16 covers Branchburg, Delaware, Flemington, Hillsborough, Manville, Millstone Borough, Montgomery, Princeton Borough, Princeton Township, Raritan Borough, Readington, Rocky Hill, Somerville, South Brunswick and Stockton.
