Gottheimer Praises Fifth District Law Enforcement and Community Policing at National Night Out
Takes part in Paramus, Teaneck, New Milford, and Glen Rock events to foster community partnerships with police and make our neighborhoods safer
NORTH JERSEY – Last night, August 6, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined families, neighbors, kids, law enforcement and other first responders throughout the Fifth District at this year’s National Night Out events in Paramus, Teaneck, New Milford, and Glen Rock. The annual, nationwide event gives law enforcement, families, and the business community a chance to get to know each other better and learn more about the work first responders do each and every day.
“National Night Out is one of my all-time favorite community events, and I was proud to join so many of our neighbors, kids, families, seniors, and first responders at this year’s National Night Out. I was in Paramus, Teaneck, New Milford, and in Glen Rock, to join the community in thanking law enforcement for playing such an integral role in our communities. They always get our backs. This is always such a great opportunity for us to better get to know and say thank you to the officers who put their lives on the line to protect us each and every day,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “In Congress, I’m incredibly committed to making sure we have the backs of all of New Jersey’s first responders. I’m making sure we’re clawing back our federal dollars so law enforcement and all first responders have the equipment they need to keep all of us safe. To all the first responders in the Fifth District and across our country—thank you. We are all grateful.”
