Gottheimer Swears in Council Members, Deputy Mayor in Lodi Borough

LODI BOROUGH, N.J. – Today, Monday, July 1, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) swore in three incoming members of the Lodi Borough Council outside Borough Hall: Deputy Mayor Vinnie Martin, Councilman Emil Carafa, and Councilman Joseph Leto.

Gottheimer was also joined by Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, Bergen County Freeholder Vice Chair Mary Amoroso, and members of Legislative District 38: Senator Joe Lagana, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain, and Assemblyman Chris Tully.

“I was honored to swear in these council members today. They are all important leaders in our community and in North Jersey. I’m grateful for their service,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5).

“Deputy Mayor Martin is someone who is always willing to lend a hand when the going gets tough,” said Gottheimer. “As a member of the Lodi Police Department and a school resource officer here in Lodi, he’s always put the safety of our families and our communities first and having our backs. I could not be more proud that he will be serving as a Deputy Mayor of Lodi.”
