Hewitt Announces Second Town Hall to Take Place Wednesday in Boonton

Congressional candidate continues meeting with constituents

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Republican Congressional Candidate Martin Hewitt will continue his Town Hall series with an event this Wednesday, January 24th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Vinnie’s Pizzeria408 Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Hewitt will be at the pizzeria, with a section reserved for residents who wish to engage with him and other residents of the 11th Congressional District, which is represented by 12 term incumbent Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen.

“I have really enjoyed this opportunity to meet neighbors from surrounding towns, and listen to their perspectives on local and federal issues. I think the key to being a good legislator is being able to work with–rather than against–those whose views don’t align perfectly with you. Understanding where people are coming from is the only true way to reach positive compromises, something that our representatives in Washington don’t seem to value anymore,” said Hewitt. “I would like to host a Town Hall event in Livingston in the near future, and then come to the Northwest areas of the district, like Sparta and Hopatcong. Anywhere that people are interested in talking about the issues that affect us all, that’s where I’ll be.”

Hewitt residents in Morris Township, and intends to host town hall events throughout the 11th Congressional District, at least twice per month before the June 5th Republican Primary. Hewitt’s grassroots campaign has thus far consisted of small contributions from supporters on both the left and the right of the political spectrum. Hewitt describes himself as “socially liberal, fiscally conservative.” More information about Hewitt and the 11th Congressional District can be found at www.hewittforcongress.com
