Hugin Statement on 45th Anniversary of State Trooper Foerster’s Death

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — On the 45th anniversary of the murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster by Joanne Chesimard, Bob Hugin released the following statement:

“It is with sadness that we mark the 45th anniversary of the death of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster who was brutally murdered by Joanne Chesimard,” said Bob Hugin. “We will be forever grateful for his service to our state. No matter how many years pass, we will never forget this atrocity and until Cuba returns cop-killer Chesimard and the other terrorists it harbors, there can be no meaningful relationship between our countries. We appreciate the work of all law enforcement professionals and the Foerster family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.”

Bob Hugin, a Marine Corps Veteran and business leader who has created thousands of New Jersey jobs, is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate to challenge incumbent Democrat Senator Bob Menendez.
