Inroads To Opportunities, Participant, Announces Retirement After Almost Three Decades
Roselle, NJ - Inroads to Opportunities, a Union County, NJ, based non-profit human services agency that provides programs and services to individuals with disabilities, recently celebrated the retirement of one of its long-time participants, Frank ‘Buddy’ Barile, on Friday, August 29, 2025.
Known for his upbeat and can-do attitude, Barile enjoyed 28 years of programs and services at Inroads. He worked in Inroads’ Contract Packaging operation directly on the assembly line and was always available to help out wherever he was needed. Barile also enjoyed many of the social aspects of Inroads including the holiday parties, luncheons, dances, special events, and of course the agency’s annual Casino Night Fundraiser. He has created and deeply values all the friendships he has made at Inroads.
According to Angela Calzone, Inroads President & CEO, “Frank is an icon at Inroads. As a new President & CEO, Frank would appear in my office to check on me and ask if I needed anything. He knew everyone at the agency and would often share amusing anecdotes. We are truly going to miss seeing him at Inroads.”
A resident of Cranford, NJ, Frank is friendly and among his interests are bingo and bowling. During his retirement, Frank intends to spend more time with his sister, Anna, as well as his nieces and nephews.
