James Solomon Endorses “For Stronger Schools” Slate For Jersey City School Board

Solomon Endorses Brendan Doohan, Aimee Sharrock, And Lorenzo Richardson

Jersey City, NJ - Building off the momentum from his endorsements of “For Stronger Schools,” candidates Matt Schneider and Tia Rezabala’s stunning wins in 2024,  Jersey City Mayoral candidate James Solomon endorsed the “For Stronger Schools” slate for school board slate today. In backing Brendan Doohan, Aimee Sharrock, and Lorenzo Richardson, Solomon reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for change in Jersey City’s Public Schools for families, students, and teachers.

Brendan Doohan, Aimee Sharrock, And Lorenzo Richardson said: “Thank you for having confidence in our team to effectively advocate For Stronger Schools and advance student achievement.  As parents, we envision a school system where the budget is handled responsibly, facilities are well-maintained and teachers, students and staff have what they need to succeed.”

Jersey City Mayoral candidate James Solomon said: “You can’t have a successful city without good public schools, which is why I am proud to back Brendan Doohan, Aimee Sharrock, and Lorenzo Richardson for school board. Today, fewer than half of students in Jersey City are proficient in reading, only a third are proficient in math, and over 25% of students were chronically absent. Voters are fed up, and they are demanding change. That’s why they elected Matt Schneider and Tia Rezabala in the fall and why they are going to elect Brendan Doohan, Aimee Sharrock, and Lorenzo Richardson this year.”
