Jason Krychiw, Misael Guzman, and their United New Union Democrats team cry Bias in Union Election Endorsement

Jason Krychiw, Misael Guzman, and their United New Union Democrats team in Union are calling for an end to unfair and biased endorsement practices after a recent endorsement by the NJ FMBA President of the incumbent Committee members in Union.

The United New Union Democrats issued the following statement: “No one from our team was ever contacted by the NJ FMBA President about our views or what we are trying to accomplish locally. This comes as no surprise to us given the longstanding relationship with the President and our local party chair, Joseph Cryan. It is just another example of the ‘good old boy’s club’ not giving new people a chance and not hearing new voices. If you want to talk about fairness and transparency, this should have been an open process where all sides were heard out. We support fire, police, EMS, and everyone who sacrifices to make sure we are safe, happy, and healthy in Union. They deserve local officials who are ready to work to represent them, not ones that sell them out to political elites. It is sad that these first responders are being used as political currency instead of addressing their real concerns like department funding and hiring practices. Krychiw and Guzman on Township Committee and the rest of the County Committee district leader team are ready to fight every day to solve these real issues and give a voice to those of us who aren’t heard now. We will continue to address these concerns as we approach the June 4th Democratic Primary in Union.”
