Jeff Wright Announces Contention for 2019 Democratic Township Committee Endorsement
HILLSBOROUGH, March 1st, 2019 – Jeff Wright, Hillsborough resident and 2018 candidate for Hillsborough Township Committee, has announced contention for endorsement of a 2019 run from the Hillsborough Democratic Municipal Organization.
Citing “enthusiasm” and “acceptance” from voters across the political spectrum, Mr. Wright is hoping to gain the Democratic Party’s nod to run for Township Committee in 2019.
“In 2018, so many of the people I spoke to around town were very excited to speak to a candidate who is willing to look to the future and have big ideas to better the community,” he said recently.
“Hillsborough is a wonderful town, but so many of us are genuinely concerned about being able to afford to live and raise a family here. We’re concerned about the future of our economy and environment, and the world we’re creating for our kids. Looking ahead to tomorrow is how we are going to solve our problems today.”
The Hillsborough Democratic Organization has formed a steering committee to interview potential candidates, with the vote of endorsement slated to take place at the next regular meeting of the HDO on Wednesday, March 14.
“We are thrilled that Jeff has decided to step up and serve his community once again,” HDO Chairman Ronald Yoder said. “He is a tireless worker and his efforts during the 2018 election are a huge reason the conversation about affordability, roads, and over development are moving forward.”
