Joint Committee Hearing on Importance of STEM Education; Legislative Panel to Discuss State Licensing System for Alcoholic Beverage Industry Highlight Thursday Assembly Agenda
(TRENTON) – Assembly committees will convene on Thursday to receive testimony from the public, stakeholders and organizations on issues pertaining to education and local businesses in the state.
The following panels will meet:
The Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology and Assembly Education Committees will meet jointly off-site to hear testimony from invited guests regarding the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education for students in kindergarten through grade 12, and particularly the ways in which female and minority students are being reached through STEM programs both inside and outside of school The hearing will be held at 10:00 AM on The College of New Jersey campus, STEM Building, 2000 Pennington Road, Ewing Township, New Jersey 08618.
The Assembly Oversight, Reform and Federal Relations Committee will receive testimony from invited guests in the alcoholic beverage industry concerning whether and how New Jersey should streamline the liquor licensing system from an economic, social and regulatory perspective. The committee is slated to begin at 10:00 AM in Committee Room 11, 4th Floor of the Statehouse Annex, 125 West State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08608.
