Jones Disappointed in Continued Rail Line Closures

(TRENTON) – Vice-Chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee, Assemblywoman Patricia Egan Jones (D-Camden, Gloucester) issued the following statement regarding New Jersey Transit and their misleading of legislators, and the public about federal government involvement in the reopening of the Atlantic City Rail Line (ACRL):

“It has come to light over the last few days that the federal government is not the reason for the continued closure of the ACRL. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating for the public to be misled in such a way by New Jersey Transit. This is not transparency. We deserve answers. Commuters deserve to know the real reason for the prolonged delay of opening the rail line.”
