LUPE PAC Statement On Budget: We Need a Budget that Works for Working Women in NJ
We Need a Budget that Works for Working Women in NJ
At a time of crisis for women and children in the US coming from attacks by our federal government, we are counting on NJ to stand up for our values; to invest in children and families and to move our state forward by investing in healthcare, public education, public transportation and infrastructure.
New Jersey voters made a decisive choice last November to demand a vision of what NJ can be – a place where working women can raise their children to achieve their greatest potential, and where going to work doesn’t mean living in poverty.
As a statewide organization representing the interest of NJ Latinas, we want a budget that invest in working people. We call on the NJ Legislature and Governor Murphy to come together and negotiate and compromise to produce a budget that addresses the needs of NJ working women.
LUPEPAC is a non-partisan state-wide political action committee that represents the interest of NJ Latina women. We train and support Latinas to run for office and increase our political representation in NJ at the local, state and federal level.
