Mayor Tim McDonough Launches Re-Election Campaign; Pledges to Preserve Quality of Life and Keep Hope Township Debt Free

Hope, New Jersey – Today, Hope Township Mayor, Timothy McDonough, announced his re-election campaign for the Township Committee. Mayor McDonough issued the following statement establishing his vision for Hope:

“Hope Township has long been known for the excellent quality of life our residents experience. Hope Township is a throwback. We have maintained our small town charm, neighbors know each other’s name and we pride ourselves on being fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars.

While the costs of running a municipality continue to sky-rocket, I am proud to say that we maintain ZERO municipal debt in Hope Township. Throughout my time in office I have been able to work with our state, county and federal partners to secure grants that allow us to continue to provide top-notch services at minimal costs to the taxpayers. If I am fortunate enough to be re-elected, one of my top priorities will be ensuring that we continue to maintain our debt-free position.

One issue that we continue to address is the truck traffic on County Routes 521 and 519. After years of working with our partners at the Department of Transportation and the Warren County Commissioners, we have finally achieved a weight restriction that will ease the volume of truck traffic through our community.

I’m running for re-election because our job is not done yet. I’m proud of what we have accomplished so far, but there is still much work to be done. I look forward to seeing the residents of Hope Township on the trail and continuing to put the people of Hope first!
