McKeon Statement on Affordable Health Care Bill Signing

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John McKeon (D-Essex/Morris) issued the following statement on Gov. Murphy’s signing of 2 bills into law which will protect the Affordable Care Act in New Jersey:

“This is a great day for New Jersey.

“Yesterday we ensured that President Trump’s dangerous unpredictability will not plague the more than 800,000 New Jersey residents who rely on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for their health insurance.

“With the signing of A-3379 and A-3380, both of which I am proud to be a sponsor of, we have protected the core elements of the ACA so that as many New Jerseyans as possible can be granted the necessary health coverage they rightfully deserve.

“I applaud Gov. Murphy for his leadership on this issue and for doing what is right for his constituents.

“This will undoubtedly lead to a stronger, healthier New Jersey.”
