Michael Roth Raises $302,880 in Q2, Continuing Strong Momentum in NJ-7 Congressional Race Campaign Shows Growing Strength in One of the Nation’s Most Competitive Districts

Mountainside, NJ – Today, Michael Roth, Democratic candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District, announced a second-quarter fundraising total of $302,880, signaling continued momentum and deepening support in one of the most closely watched House races in the country. Contributions from New Jersey and around the country in less than a full quarter of fundraising have established the campaign on solid footing going into the summer months of the off year.

“From day one, this campaign has been about building a coalition that believes in doing things differently and doing them better,” said Roth. “We’re not powered by PACs or party insiders. We’re powered by people who want a government that delivers, an economy that includes everyone, and leadership that shows up and listens while charting a path to a New American Dream in New Jersey’s 7th.”

Eyes on the General Election

New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District is widely considered a top Democratic pickup opportunity in 2025. Michael Roth’s deep ties to the district, strong fundraising, and demonstrated success in the private and public sectors making sure government works for everyone, are positioning him as a clear Democratic frontrunner in the effort to defeat Republican incumbent Tom Kean Jr. in 2026.

“We have the message, we have the momentum, and we will absolutely have the resources to take this campaign to every corner of this district,” said Senior Advisor to the campaign Noah Dion. “Michael is building the kind of campaign that wins tough races and is best positioned to defeat Tom Kean Jr. next November.”
