Morris Plains, New Jersey – The Morris County Democratic Committee’s LGBTQA+ Caucus,
formed in July of this year, will be hosting is first-ever fundraiser via Zoom on Thursday,
December 17th, entitled “We Wish You A Merry Campaign.”

One of the core missions of the Caucus is to foster and encourage more LGBTQA+ individuals
to run for office. This event will serve as part candidate recruitment event, part holiday party.
The proceeds raised will be used to contribute to LGBTQA+ candidates in 2021 and beyond.
Beginning at 7:00PM, we’ll be joined by a host of all-star individuals. Veteran political
operative Dave Parano of Parano & Associates will be giving a presentation on the nuts and
bolts of a run for office. Following Dave’s presentation, Hasbrouck Heights Councilman Chris
Hillmann, Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, and Chatham Borough Councilman Len
Resto will join us to discuss their experiences as candidates. Cara Parmigiani, the Caucus’
Founding Chair and Founding Co-Chair of Morris County Pride, will also be speaking on her
experiences running for office.

For an entry fee of $75, Morris County area attendees will receive a curated gift bag containing
three small bottles of sparkling wine, fruit to accompany, and a box of chocolate truffles. They
will be delivered no later than the day of the event. A $40 “Zoom Only” ticket is an option for
those wishing to forego the gift bag or who are not local.
