Murphy Campaign On-Air with New Ad Focused on Breaking Trenton’s Special Interest Politics

Newark — The Murphy for Governor campaign today unveiled a new television advertisement now airing statewide which highlights Phil Murphy’s commitment to restoring leadership that works to benefit all residents, not just a select few.

“In Trenton, the special interest politicians only serve themselves. They’re better off, we’re not,” intones a female narrator at the ad’s open. Murphy then notes his independence — “I don’t owe the insiders anything” — and highlights his proposals to create new jobs by growing the economy, making college affordable, and guaranteeing equal pay to ensure fairness. The spot was recorded at the legendary Tops Diner in East Newark.

“I’ll curb Wall Street’s influence with a public bank, end overpriced hedge funds managing public pensions,” Murphy says in the 30-second spot. “The special interests politicians who broke New Jersey can’t fix it, but, together, we can.”
