New Jersey Democratic State Committee Will Honor Barbra ‘Babs’ Siperstein with Resolution at Committee Meeting
BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — The New Jersey Democratic State Committee will honor the life and accomplishments of Barbra ‘Babs’ Siperstein with a resolution at its Committee meeting on March 19. Babs dedicated her life to fighting for equality and moving our country forward, particularly for the LGBTQ community. She served as a Deputy Vice Chair of NJDSC until her death on February 3.
“Barbra ‘Babs’ Siperstein was undoubtedly among one of strongest and most passionate advocates for the LGBTQ community and a trailblazer who changed our state for the better,” said NJDSC Chairman John Currie. “But above all, she was a true friend who guided younger generations and taught them how to speak up and overcome intolerance. It is only fitting that we as a party honor her legacy and continue the conversation of equality and inclusiveness that Babs championed.”
NJDSC’s State Committee meeting will be held at Delta Hotels by Marriott, 80 Allen Road in Basking Ridge at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be attended by Governor Phil Murphy, Chairman Currie, Vice Chair Lizette Delgado Polanco, members of the LGBT Caucus, Democratic State Committee members and is open to friends, family and colleagues of Babs and all New Jersey Democrats.
