New Jersey Reentry Corporation to Sign Memorandum of Understanding with Care Plus NJ, Inc. to Connect Reentry Clients to Addiction Treatment Services

Former Governor Jim McGreevey to Speak

Thursday, July 18, 2019

2 PM – 3 PM

Paramus, NJ 07652

 Who/What:

The New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) will join Care Plus NJ, Inc. (“CarePlus”), a pioneer in integrated primary and behavioral health services for adults and children, in a partnership to provide NJRC clients access to addiction treatment services.

CarePlus operates as one of New Jersey’s designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs), which are certified by the national Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as best practice providers. A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed that will allow the NJRC to refer clients immediately and directly to CarePlus’ program.  Most importantly, this agreement will enable clients to access to Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as suboxone, vivitrol, and methadone, which will enable clients to control cravings for opioid use, and thus reduce risk of overdosing.

Remarks will be provided by:

  • Jim McGreevey, Executive Director, New Jersey Reentry Corporation
  • Joseph Masciandaro, President and CEO, Care Plus NJ, Inc.

When:

Thursday, July 18, 2019
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
