NJ CANNABUSINESS ASSOCIATION STATEMENT ON ATTORNEY GENERAL GREWAL LETTER SEEKING ADJOURNMENT OF ALL CANNABIS RELATED CASES

Trenton — New Jersey CannaBusiness Association President Scott Rudder issued the following statement today regarding the letter New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal sent to municipal prosecutors seeking an adjournment until September 4, 2018 or later on any cannabis related offenses:

“This is great and welcomed news for the state, as it addresses one of the critical issues of this debate: social justice. The Attorney General and Murphy Administration’s action are a huge leap forward in the ongoing effort to bring legal recreational cannabis and expansion of medical cannabis to New Jersey. Coupled with continued progress in the Legislature, there is renewed hope that legalization and expansion will occur sooner rather than later.

“I want to thank Governor Murphy, his administration, and Attorney General Grewal for their continued efforts to bring reasonable, fact-based arguments and actions to the discussion.”
