New Jersey High School Democrats Thank the DNC For Giving High School Democrats of America Representation on Body

SAN FRANCISCO, CA— August 24, 2019 — At their August meeting this morning in San Francisco, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) passed an amendment to the DNC Charter and Bylaws, giving the High School Democrats of America (HSDA) two seats on the DNC.

The New Jersey High School Democrats thank the DNC for creating a nationwide platform for young voices and recognizing the importance of youth political engagement and activism. We are also extremely proud of all of the HSDA leaders that have worked towards this goal over the past few years, including our very own NJHSD Vice Chair and HSDA Chair Jason Lam, who led the national organization last year.

“The passing of this amendment marks a new day in not just Democratic politics, but the political sphere as a whole. As high school students and the rest of Generation Z continue to stand up and speak up, the DNC’s actions today speak volumes about our impact on this country and on this world,” said the NJHSD’s Chairman Alex Moskovitz.
