O’Dea Statement on Jersey City Election Results

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Mayoral candidate and County Commissioner Bill O’Dea is releasing the following statement regarding the results of the Jersey City Mayor and Council elections:

“I want to thank the people of Jersey City for exercising their right to vote and making their voices heard in this election. At this point in time there are more votes to be counted and several of our Council candidates appear to be headed to runoff elections, but we are facing an uphill climb in the Mayor’s race. It’s critical that every vote is counted and we will not have official results tonight, so we will release more information as it becomes available.

I’m grateful to the volunteers who devoted countless hours to this campaign and who believe in our vision for Jersey City’s future. No matter the result of this election, I will continue to serve the people of our community and stand up for the values that our campaign was based on.”
