PERTH AMBOY NJ – (Sept. 20, 2018) – Perth Amboy Council President Bill Petrick today said he is not surprised by Mayor Wilda Diaz’s “superficial response” to the serious issues facing voters that he highlighted in his InsiderNJ commentary.

“Mayor Diaz’s superficial response is no surprise. Our mayor often uses sleight-of-hand to misdirect people’s attention away from important city issues that should most concern them, like the ones mentioned in my commentary,” Petrick said. “Her magic act only works for so long before people begin to catch on and wise up.”

“Perth Amboy voters now see that Mayor Diaz is meddling in our Nov. 6th City Council race, fabricating untrue accusations about me and, worse, misusing taxpayer-funded city services for political purposes,” Petrick said. “She is unapologetic and offers no answers for her misbehavior.”
