Rich Kuiters and Holly Misley Blast Park Ridge Board of Education Decision

Park Ridge Board of Education (PRBOE) candidates Rich Kuiters and Holly Misley blasted the current board’s decision to withhold $25,000 from West Ridge Elementary School for its new playground.
“The PRBOE’s decision to refuse a $25,000 commitment to the new playground is a slap in the face to West Ridge students and parents. The West Ridge Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has raised over $100,000 to create a safe, beautiful space where our children can make lasting memories. The PRBOE made a commitment of $25,000 to East Brook’s playground during its construction, but is now choosing to turn its back on kids playing on the other side of town. When elected, we will reverse this decision and provide the full donation to support the future of children’s education, exercise, and social connections. Not honoring the PTO’s commitment is a disgrace — we are calling on the PRBOE to provide the full donation, which will save taxpayer money in the long run."
