Roberts and Esposito Lead Efforts to Preserve Sayreville’s Open Space Announce a Plan to Preserve 300 Additional Acres by 2030
Sayreville, NJ — Council President Donna Roberts and Council Candidate Anthony Esposito today announced a Plan to protect and expand Sayreville’s open space and natural resources, pledging to preserve 300 more acres by 2030.
Sayreville already has over 700 acres of preserved land, which contribute to the Borough’s recreational activity and storm resiliency.
Looking ahead, Roberts and Esposito support a plan to preserve 300 more acres by 2030, while prioritizing Borough-owned land and working with professionals to identify high-value parcels for protection.
The proposal includes creating a Preservation “Action Plan” in 120 days to identify potential sites for preservation.
“Our progress proves that Sayreville can grow while protecting what makes our community special,” said Council President Donna Roberts. “Preserving open space means cleaner air, safer neighborhoods, and a better quality of life for families.”
“Now is the time to build on this momentum,” said Council Candidate Anthony Esposito. “I am committed to safeguarding more land, expanding recreation, and ensuring Sayreville remains a place we’re proud to call home.”
Together, Roberts and Esposito are working to strike the right balance between growth and preservation; protecting Sayreville today while planning smartly to protect and enhance Sayreville’s quality of life.
