Senate Budget Panel to Review FY19 Spending Plan for Transportation, Military/Veterans Affairs

 

 

TRENTON – The Senate Budget & Appropriations Committee will meet on Tuesday to review Governor Murphy’s FY19 budget proposal for the Department of Transportation and for the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, said Senator Paul Sarlo, the committee’s chair.

 

The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing on Tuesday, May 1st in Committee Room 4 in the State House Annex:

 

  • 11:30 a.m. – Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, Acting Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation and other top DOT officials. The discussion will include NJ Transit funding and operations, light rail projects, positive train control, TTF, the Gateway project and the Motor Vehicles Commission, among other issues.

 

  • 2:00 p.m. – Brigadier General Jemal J. Beale, Adjutant General, New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and other top officials with DMVA. The discussion will include the National Guard, veterans programs and medical services, among other issues.
