Senate President Sweeney on the Passing of Babs Siperstein

TRENTON – Senate President Steve Sweeney issued the following statement today on the passing of Babs Siperstein:

“We all mourn the loss of Babs Siperstein. She was a courageous pioneer in the fight for gender equality who pursued the cause of justice with dignity and compassion. She advanced the cause of equal rights, helping to shape new laws and to transform the attitudes of others. My condolences to her family and her countless friends who loved and admired her. She will be missed, but the legacy of her accomplishments will be with us forever.”
