Senator Singleton to Partner with Burlington County Animal Shelter for Community Service Project
Moorestown– For his September “Serve with Senator Singleton” event, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with the Burlington County Animal Shelter to provide a day of service. The event will take place at the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton on Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Senator and a team of volunteers will be asked to perform a variety of tasks including: preparing food, washing laundry, dishwashing, sorting donations, cleaning windows and doors, scooping outside for debris, restocking, and creating profile cards for the animals. Anyone interested in volunteering with the Senator can sign-up here: https://www.troysingleton.com/animalshelter
“Over the past eight years, we have spent over 3,000 hours volunteering our time on a wide array of service projects throughout our local communities,” said Senator Singleton. “Whether we are helping people or pets, our volunteers demonstrate compassion and concern for the organizations we are serving and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to partner once again with the Burlington County Animal Shelter.”
Each month, Senator Singleton crowd-sources a team of volunteers to help with a particular community service project. This event will be the Senator's 77th "Serve with Senator Singleton" event since becoming State Senator in 2018. Previous volunteer efforts include indoor and outdoor clean-up days, animal welfare projects, clothing and supply drives, painting projects,
gleaning efforts, and community event set-up and staffing. To date, more than 3000 hours have been donated by volunteers to local community service projects.
