Senator Weinberg to Hold Panel Discussion on Fire Safety&Construction Practices

 

 

TEANECK – Senator Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg is hosting a panel discussion and town hall forum at the Richard Rodda Center in Teaneck at 7 pm on March 6th. The panel will feature construction, building code, and fire safety experts. Following the panel, there will also be public Q&A.

 

Since the Edgewater fire in 2015, there has been discussion in the Legislature about what can be done to improve fire safety in newly constructed buildings. The panelists will discuss the causes of these fires and what the state can or should do to mitigate fire risks going forward.
