Speaker Coughlin on Appointment of Dr. Jonathan Holloway as Next President Of Rutgers University

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement on Rutgers newly selected President:

          “Rutgers University is poised to announce the selection of its first African American president. There is added significance that we applaud Rutgers for this historic selection of Dr. Jonathan Holloway on the same day that we remember the life and great work of civil rights titan, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is a proud day for New Jersey. Rutgers has a very bright future. I look forward to working with Dr. Holloway as the State University begins a new chapter.”
