The following is a statement from NJ Senate Majority Conference Leader Vin Gopal:

This is a sad day for Americans. Today's decision by the US Supreme Court represents a very extreme position which is not the position of the overwhelming majority of New Jerseyans or Americans. This will have a horrific effect on millions of women and Americans - with some states going as far to ban a woman's right to her body even in the case of rape or incest.

The time is now for New Jerseyans and Americans to mobilize, organize and most importantly - vote.
