Statement from Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09) on announcement from Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11) that he will not seek re-election:

“Rodney Frelinghuysen has been a dedicated public servant for New Jersey. I have had the honor of serving with Rodney for three decades in both the New Jersey General Assembly and the House of Representatives. His record of serving New Jersey is about more than his years of service. During his time in office, Rodney has looked out for and made a positive difference in our state, especially as a member and now Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. From deepening the port, to funding flood management projects, to cleaning up our Passaic River, I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish together in a bipartisan manner. A military veteran himself, Rodney’s legacy will be in his consistent support of our Armed Forces, with our men and women serving at front of mind. I am proud to call Chairman Frelinghuysen a friend and believe he deserves our thanks and appreciation. I wish nothing but the best for him, his family and also his staff.”
