Statement in Response to the Propaganda of Hate and Fear

Fueled by Mayoral Candidate Wainstein

The New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers, proudly represents over 400 faith leaders across all 21 counties.

We are unified in our outrage by Larry Wainstein, mayoral candidate for the Township of North Bergen, misuse of the issues of ICE, deportation, family separation and inhumane immigration policies for personal political gain.

This is one of most sensitive issues in our nation, with so many of our brothers and sisters living in fear, and it must be treated with the delicacy and respect its seriousness demands.

We are calling on all political candidates and elected officials to cease from using these kinds of insensitive and scare tactics in their campaigns.

We ask that Mr. Wainstein publically apologize to the thousands of North Bergen families that were impacted by this propaganda of hate and fear.

NJLCLPM is a non-partisan group of independent Latino pastors and ministers that endorse and advocate social justice agenda.
