“It is clear with the latest backroom compromise that the Republican leadership in the Congress was never going to protect New Jersey in their tax bill.  And Congressman Lance was never going to protect the people of this district.

Congressman Lance voted for the Republican leadership that crafted this horrible and profoundly unfair bill and he voted to let the tax plan move forward.  He never objected to most of its harmful provisions, including those that hurt students and seniors and that saddle our country with more than a trillion dollars in new debt to pay for a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans.  Lance can’t fool anyone with his ploy to vote against the bill after all he has done to make it happen.

When people across Central Jersey pay more and get less under this bill, they will know that Republicans in Congress are responsible and that reelecting Lance will change nothing.

It comes down to this- Washington doesn’t work for New Jersey and neither does Congressman Lance.  Leonard Lance is part of the problem, and the only way to fix the problem is to replace Congressman Lance.”
