Joins Mercury Advisory Board

Saddle Brook, NJ – Mercury Public Affairs, a top bipartisan high-stakes public strategy firm, today announced that Samantha Maltzman, one of the nation’s top political fundraisers, is joining the firm’s Advisory Board. Maltzman has 20 years of experience serving Presidential, Senatorial, and Congressional campaigns in the Northeast.

“Samantha is one of the most respected and accomplished fundraisers in politics. Her decades of experience at the highest levels of campaigns and her unmatched relationships will bring enormous value to our firm,” said Mercury Partner Michael Soliman, who leads the New Jersey office and helps guide the firm’s national strategy. “We are proud to welcome her to Mercury’s Advisory Board and look forward to the insight and expertise she will bring as we continue to expand our reach.”

Maltzman has worked for two U.S. Senators, including her longstanding work with Senator Cory Booker since his first Senate campaign in 2013 and as Deputy National Finance Director on his Presidential campaign. She also advised Governor Phil Murphy when he first explored running for Governor of New Jersey and later as a candidate for office.

“I am thrilled to join Mercury’s Advisory Board and to collaborate with such a talented and dynamic team,” said Maltzman. “I look forward to working with Mercury to expand its impactful and innovative work.”

Beyond her campaign experience, Maltzman advises high-net-worth individual clients on political and philanthropic giving. She has organized the creation of a political action committee and also serves as a political adviser to her clients.

“Samantha has been a trusted strategist to some of the most prominent leaders in the country,” said Mercury Partner Mo Butler. “Her record speaks for itself and she will be an incredible asset to Mercury as we continue to grow.”

Prior to starting her own fundraising business, Maltzman served as the New York Regional Finance Director to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), a campaign committee dedicated to electing a Democratic Senate. She also served as Finance Director for Senator Lautenberg's 2008 reelection campaign and as the New Jersey Finance Director for the Hillary Clinton for President campaign in 2007.

Maltzman is active in her local community and sits on the boards of Alef Bet Montessori School and the AISH Center of Greater Washington, D.C. She is a proud graduate of Douglass College, the former women’s college at Rutgers University. Maltzman and her husband, Orin Schepps, have eight-year-old twin boys.
