Visit is Part of On-going Assembly Effort to Help State’s Veterans
(TRENTON) – Looking to formulate legislative solutions that address New Jersey’s homeless veterans population, Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker (D-Essex), chair, Assembly Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, released the following statement Thursday after she and fellow Assembly Democrats Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen), Lisa Swain (D-Bergen, Passaic), and Christopher Tully (D-Bergen, Passaic) toured New Jersey State Veterans Memorial Home at Paramus:
“Seeing the care that veterans receive at this facility is extremely encouraging. Our veterans have made tremendous contributions to the United States military domestically and abroad. It is only fitting that they have a place to call home where they receive optimal care. I look forward to working with my Assembly caucus colleagues, other elected officials and all stakeholders to ensure that New Jersey veterans have access to the housing and other resources they have earned and deserve.”
