US Senator Andy Kim Completes 500 Mile Sprint across New Jersey to Rally Support ahead of Election Day

NEW JERSEY — With less than 48 hours until polls open, U.S. Senator Andy Kim traveled over 500 miles across New Jersey to rally support for gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill and downballot Democrats. With events in 7 different counties from Cumberland to Ocean to Morris, Kim joined volunteers, candidates, and elected leaders to deliver a clear message: New Jersey is ready to step up.

“At every stop across the state, I’m seeing New Jerseyans fired up and ready to win on November 4th,” said Senator Kim. “Whether it’s tariffs raising the price of groceries or healthcare costs skyrocketing by 174% next year, people are unhappy with the chaos Donald Trump and Republicans are creating in Washington. That’s why they’re stepping up to elect Mikie Sherrill and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, because winning in New Jersey will send a message to the entire country that we’re going to take back Congress in 2026 and hold this administration accountable.”

Kim has been headlining high-turnout events all weekend, especially in Republican counties in his native South Jersey. On Saturday, November 1st, Kim rallied union members in Lawrence Township around attacks on healthcare and SNAP, as well as Trump’s termination of the Gateway Project which would kill nearly 100,000 jobs. Kim then traveled south to meet volunteers in Millville and Pleasantville, both towns in counties that voted for Donald Trump in 2024 but are seeing a surge in enthusiasm for Mikie Sherrill and local Democrats. Kim closed out the day with an evening canvass launch in Toms River, a Republican town in Ocean County that Kim represented in the House.

On Sunday, November 2nd, Kim started the day with volunteers in Parsippany before traveling down to Springfield in Union County, where he and fellow Senator Cory Booker rallied in support of battleground State Assembly candidates Andrew Macurdy and Vinny Kearney as well as local Democrats. Kim continued down to West Windsor, energizing canvassers there before joining Sherrill, Booker, Congressman Herb Conaway, and hundreds of Rowan University students at a GOTV rally in Burlington County.

In addition to energizing voters on the ground, Kim appeared on MSNBC twice over the weekend, reinforcing the campaign’s momentum and highlighting what’s at stake for New Jersey families. He joined the program on Saturday at 11:15 AM, and returned Sunday evening for a joint appearance with Sherrill, where they discussed the momentum they’re seeing across the state and the importance of showing up on November 4th.
