WATTICK FOR COUNCIL: LOCAL COUNCIL CANDIDATE HOLDS UNION COUNTY ACCOUNTABLE

LOCAL COUNCIL CANDIDATE HOLDS UNION COUNTY ACCOUNTABLE

Briant Park Neglected

Summit, NJ, August 20, 2017– Summit Common Council Candidate Mike Wattick announces his latest campaign video forces Union County Government into action:

“On August 11, I released a video calling Union County to task for not maintaining the entrance to
Briant Park. The weeds at the entrance had not been pulled all summer” Wattick said. “The next week
someone trimmed the weeds at least to the point of being able to see the planted shrubs, however
the clippings were left scattered about and the weed roots are still visible. Far from optimal work but
it’s a start”

“Summit residents will pay 30% of their property tax bill to Union County. Summit taxpayers will send
$40,000,000 to Elizabeth this year. Holding County Government accountable is critical for the future
of Summit and a cornerstone of my campaign for Council.”

Election Day is November 7, 2017.
