Hard Rock Atlantic City’s George Goldhoff Named President of the Casino Association of New Jersey

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City President to lead statewide trade organization

Atlantic City, NJ – The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) today announced that its members have elected George Goldhoff, president and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, as president of the organization. Goldhoff succeeds Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, who served in this position for nearly four years.

The leadership transition comes as Atlantic City’s casino industry continues to play a critical role as a regional economic engine and leading tourism destination.

“It is an honor to step into the role of Casino Association of New Jersey president and continue the strong foundation that Mark Giannantonio helped build,” said Goldhoff. “The Atlantic City casino industry plays a vital role in our state’s economy, from supporting jobs, to driving investment and attracting visitors from across the region. I look forward to working alongside our members, local officials and state leaders to build on this momentum and further strengthen Atlantic City’s position as a world-class resort destination.”

George Goldhoff brings over three decades of leadership in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, and consumer-facing businesses. Since January 2023, he has led Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. Previously, as President of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, he led a full rebrand and drove three years of strong growth, positioning it as Ohio’s premier gaming destination.

Prior to Hard Rock, he served on the Board of Directors of Chatters Salons, Canada’s largest professional hair-care chain, and as President/CEO of PURE Canadian Gaming, both portfolio companies of the private equity firm ONCAP/ONEX, where he professionalized operations, innovated marketing, and delivered industry-leading financial results. Earlier in his career, he helped open Bellagio Las Vegas and served as General Manager of Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi.

Goldhoff is also actively engaged in community service through various board memberships, including The Leadership Studio and Stockton University's Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism. His commitment to social causes is evident in these voluntary roles spanning politics, the arts, and the health sector.

He holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Columbia University.

“It has been a privilege to serve as president of CANJ,” said Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO, Resorts Casino Hotel. “I am deeply passionate about this city and industry, and I believe we have a real opportunity to advance Atlantic City’s transformation as a premier destination for gaming, entertainment, and hospitality. We are at a critical turning point, and I am confident George is the right person to lead this organization into the future.”
