NEPTUNE DEPUTY MAYOR ENDORSES RACHEL PEACE FOR CONGRESS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Our Revolution NJ Co-Chair and Rep. Watson Coleman Advisor calls Peace the “Voice NJ-4 so desperately needs.”
Ocean Township, NJ— Derel Stroud, Deputy Mayor of Neptune Township, a proud advisor to Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Co-Chair of Our Revolution New Jersey, has endorsed Rachel Peace, the Democratic challenger to GOP Congressman Chris Smith.
“I know this district because I lived it. For years, the 4th was home to me and for that entire time, it was represented by Chris Smith, a congressman whose record has drifted further and further from the values of the people he was supposed to serve. The 4th District deserves better. They deserve a champion, and Rachel Peace has proven to be just that.
“The 4th District has waited long enough for a representative who truly sees them. I am with Rachel Peace, and I ask you to join me,” said Deputy Mayor Derel Stroud.
Stroud cited Peace’s community roots and commitment to progressive values — including healthcare, Childcare, and a fairer tax system as the foundation of his endorsement. He noted that real representation means showing up, speaking truth to power, and never forgetting who sent you to serve. “As a single mom, I know Rachel gets it! She understands the issues that keep people up at night. While families are struggling with healthcare costs, rising costs of childcare, and inflated food and fuel costs, she’s lived it.”
“I’m honored to accept the endorsement of Derel Stroud, a fellow young leader, Deputy Mayor of Neptune, and someone with a clear understanding of what it takes to win and serve New Jersey from his time as Political Director for Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman,” said Rachel Peace, leading Congressional candidate in Monmouth and Ocean County.
