New Jersey Citizen Action’s Political Action Committee Endorses Candidates for 2026 General Elections

New Jersey Citizen Action’s Political Action Committee (NJCA-PAC) has endorsed US Senator Cory Booker, and Democratic Congressional candidates Zack Mullock (CD2), Rebecca Bennett (CD7), and Dr. Adam Hamawy (CD12) for the General Elections in November. In a press statement today, New Jersey Citizen Action Executive Director Dena Mottola Jaborska said:
“At a time when Washington is prioritizing tax breaks for billionaires while working families struggle to afford healthcare, housing, and everyday necessities, we need lawmakers who will fight for economic justice and protect the rights and well-being of all people. Our endorsed candidates understand that a strong democracy and economic security go hand in hand. As the Trump administration continues its attacks on healthcare, consumer protections, immigrants, communities of color, and the institutions that safeguard our rights and democracy, New Jersey needs leaders who will push back on this agenda and put working people first.
“Senator Booker has a significant track record of fighting for the low- and moderate-income communities. He has consistently stood against efforts to gut the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid and has been a leading voice for health equity. He has championed policies that directly address the financial challenges facing working families by fighting to crack down on soaring rents, predatory overdraft fees, and outsourcing practices that disproportionately burden low-income communities. He’s been a staunch advocate to limit corporate overreach and increase workers’ wages.
“Zack Mullock has committed to challenging corporate influence in healthcare by supporting Medicare for All and advancing tax fairness. His proposal to end no-tax giveaways to multibillion-dollar multinational companies would ensure that large corporations pay their fair share toward schools, roads, and essential public services instead of shifting those costs onto working families and local communities.
“Rebecca Bennett has worked to increase access and improve patient outcomes in women’s health, oncology, obesity, and gastrointestinal care. She has pledged to fight to reinstate the devastating cuts made to the ACA and Medicaid. She also recognizes that economic opportunity depends on modern infrastructure and has committed to investing in projects such as the Gateway Tunnel to improve transportation and reduce traffic congestion for New Jersey commuters.
“Dr. Adam Hamawy supports universal paid family and medical leave, ensuring that no worker has to choose between caring for themselves or a loved one and earning a paycheck, a policy that promotes economic security, healthier families, and greater workplace equity. He has also pledged to unrig a healthcare system that puts corporate profits ahead of patients by fighting for Medicare for All.
“We urge New Jerseyans to unify around these candidates so we can flip Congress and take another important step forward to stopping the Trump and MAGA agenda and rebuilding our democracy.”
