NJDSC Statement on Election Integrity and Security

TRENTON, NJ — New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman LeRoy J. Jones, Jr. released the following statement:

"An issue was brought to Governor Sherrill's attention by her Attorney General that occurred well before she arrived in Trenton, and she immediately went about working to correct it. This is what true leadership looks like, and it's exactly why voters supported her history making campaign in a landslide.

"Of course, by the time Christine Hanlon, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are done weaponizing this issue they will have again tried to undermine our elections and insinuate they have a path with voters — when they have been clearly rejected time after time. Those claims will have as much truth as Trump's delusional belief that he won in 2020.  MAGA Republicans know they can't win in November so they are trying to suppress the vote and assail our democracy.

"The NJDSC takes the integrity, safety, and security of our elections seriously. If MAGA Republicans truly cared about the rule of law they would release the Epstein Files, stop dragging us into illegal wars and acknowledge that the President should not be enriching himself at the expense of taxpayers."
