Rebecca Bennett Surpasses $3 Million Raised, Outpaces Tom Kean Jr. and Entire Democratic Field Ahead of Primary

Bennett enters final stretch of race leading in fundraising and polling as momentum continues to build in NJ-07

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Rebecca Bennett, former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, healthcare leader, mom of two, and Democratic frontrunner in New Jersey’s 7th District, announced today that her campaign has now raised more than $3 million cycle-to-date, a major milestone that underscores the campaign’s growing momentum heading into the final weeks before the June 2nd primary election.

In the latest pre-primary filing period, Bennett raised more than $286,000, significantly outraising Congressman Tom Kean Jr., who reported raising just $168,000 during the same period.

“We’re building a people-powered movement focused on lowering costs, standing up to the Trump Administration, and delivering real results for New Jersey families – and it’s clear that the momentum is on our side,” said Rebecca Bennett. “D.C. Republicans are scared of the movement we are building and know that I am the strongest candidate to defeat Tom Kean Jr. in November. Voters are tired of absent leadership. They want someone who will show up, fight for our community, and actually be accountable to the people they represent. That’s why we are going to win this race and fire Tom Kean Jr. in November.”

The campaign’s fundraising strength comes as recent internal and public polling shows Bennett with a strong lead in the Democratic primary and as the strongest candidate to take on Tom Kean Jr. in November. MAGA Republican-linked dark-money groups have also begun ramping up spending in NJ-07 as they grow increasingly concerned about holding the seat. Bennett’s campaign is powered by more than 15,500 individual donors, with 90% of contributions coming from donors giving under $100.

Rebecca Bennett is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, officer in the Air National Guard, business leader in healthcare, and mom of two. Rebecca served in the Navy for over a decade as a helicopter pilot and aircraft commander. After serving her country for over fifteen years in the military and making waves in healthcare innovation, Rebecca is running for Congress to build a better future for our community. As a mom to two young girls, Rebecca understands first-hand the challenges of balancing work & family while navigating inflation and the rising cost of living.
