State Senator Joe Cryan (D-20) stared down a county committee challenge in his backyard to hold onto the chairmanship of the Union Twp. Democratic Committee.

The tally was 84 votes for Cryan and 11 for challenger Jason Krychiw.

Cryan has served as chair of the local Democratic Party since 1996.
